Goals

The app would require 3 separate interfaces: a mobile app for staff, a web app for staffing coordinators and an admin web app for Mobile Med to manage the users.

Early research showed that everyone preferred a calendar over a list of shifts. After that, the primary design feature of the app became very obvious: a calendar.

Given the time constraint, tech limitations, and multiple device types it made the most sense to have a single, responsive calendar design instead of different designs for each device type.

While the calendar was the preferred initial view, there were some instances where a list view would perform better. To accommodate that we included a switch that toggled calendar/list views.

The app was an immediate success, timed perfectly with the release of the Covid vaccine (hence the project’s urgency) and led to a very speedy and profitable acquisition.
